Troubleshooting

›I added testimonials in Notion but the widget hasn't updated.

We cache for 5 minutes. Wait, or hard-refresh the page. If still stuck after 10 minutes, the cache may have stuck — contact support.

›My database doesn't show up in the picker.

You need to share it with the NotionProof integration. In Notion: open the database → click ••• at top right → Connections → Add NotionProof.

›I see "Couldn't load testimonials right now."

Usually means Notion's API hit a temporary issue. The widget will retry automatically; if it persists, sign in again to refresh your token.

›Photos aren't showing up.

Notion's file URLs expire every hour. We re-fetch fresh URLs every 5 min — wait briefly. If you used external URLs (paste a link instead of uploading), they work indefinitely.

›The widget breaks my page styles.

It shouldn't — we render inside a shadow DOM that's isolated from your site's CSS. If you see breakage, let us know which platform you're on.

›How do I customize colors / fonts?

Open your widget in the dashboard → Customize panel on the right. Pick a preset, set an accent color, choose light / dark / transparent background, and toggle individual fields on or off.
